They deliver top shelf sound quality, are very light weight (can wear them for extended periods of time without discomfort), nice controls and charge lasts a long time. Noise canceling is good also.
In my opinion, mini headphones are a good compromise between full over-the-ear headphones (too warm, too bulky) and earbuds (too intrusive, struggle with bass, no audio jack). These headphones are what I want: inexpensive, lightweight, good clarity, good noise cancellation, and supports both Bluetooth and audio jack input. I got a third-party travel case for them (from Geekria), and the combination is nearly perfect. Also, I have had these for two years and they seem durable so far.
I purchased these in December 2023, and I’ve used them heavily every single day since. Working out at the gym, walking outside, cleaning the house, studying, relaxing, and everything in between. They’ve been part of my daily routine without exception. I’m only now considering replacing them, and that’s not because they suddenly failed. They’re literally just starting to fall apart from sheer use. The padding is worn down and the materials are finally giving in after two years of constant wear, which honestly says more about their durability than anything else. The Bluetooth connection has also recently started acting a little inconsistent, but this is new and clearly the result of heavy daily use over a long period of time. Up until recently, the connection was always stable and reliable across multiple devices. The sound quality has always been excellent, especially for the price. Clear, balanced, and full, with bass that feels strong without being overwhelming or muddy. Music, podcasts, videos and even phone calls all sound great. The noise canceling is also surprisingly effective. It made a noticeable difference at the gym, while walking near traffic, and even just doing things around the house. It doesn’t eliminate everything, but it absolutely reduces background noise enough to make listening more immersive and enjoyable. They’re comfortable enough to wear for long periods, and the battery life has remained impressive and reliable throughout their lifespan. I love that I can throw them on the charger and get three hours of battery live in five minutes. What really stands out is the value. These may not be the absolute best sounding headphones on the market compared to models that cost several times more, but they are absolutely the best when you factor in sound quality, comfort, durability, and price together. After this experience, I won’t stray from JBL. They’ve earned my trust. I’m upgrading to the JBL Live or Tune 670NC next, and will kinda miss these. If you want headphones that sound great, last a long time, and truly hold up to real daily use, these are an easy recommendation.
My son loves these. He won't listen to music on headphones unless they're extremely high quality. The noise cancelling technology is impressive! Sound quality is top notch IMO highly recommend
Wish I could give these 5 stars, but based on my experience coupled with the images provided in the reviews, I can say these have a very specific flaw in the design/construction. The inner part of the headband is a small snap in panel that is prone to cracking, and eventually coming unglued and breaking. That said, sound quality is amazing, and they pair easily and quickly. Occasionally I will get a random static sound that is very fast like a beep or a click, but static...not sure what causes it but 2 pairs have done it so far and I expect my next pair will too. They charge quick enough, have a good range of colors to choose from, and are overall awesome headphones, I just wish they didn't break after approximately a year, give or take a few months.Get the 2 year replacement, and when they break, get new ones.Additional information: I have now owned these 660s and the newer 670s and out of the 2 I actually prefer the older 660 model.I feel like the NC was better at actually blocking out all sound, where as the newer 670s have some new adaptive multi mic NC that actually seems to let in certain higher frequency sounds that the 660s would block. Furthermore the ear pads in the 660s are significantly softer and more comfortable. I actually took the pads from my first broken pair of 660s and put them on my 670s, and they are much more pleasant to wear long term. Last point is the swivel of the speaker, the swivel seems looser in the 670s, causing them to want to rotate forward when I look down, making them feel like the want to slip off my head altogether. Never had that issue with the 660s, in fact I applied oil to the swivel on my 660s so they wouldn't be quite so tight and would contour to my head better, but the 670s feel loose.I don't know if they fixed the headband quality with the 670, but I would still buy these 660s over the 670s if I bought again, which I probably will.Replacement plan for the win.
