Apple USB Ethernet Adapter

Works great

Using this right now and it works perfectly. I'm in a dorm where internet is provided for free (yay!) but there's no WiFi provided (boo). So, I've got my Macbook plugged in using this and then using my MBA as my source of WiFi (thanks, Apple!). Really needed this adapter, though and it works great! I've been burned in the past getting products on Amazon that *look* like Apple products, but aren't. This is an actual Apple product which means it was *priced* (high) like an Apple product. But, it's of critical importance that in this foreign country I have internet that functions and I'm not wandering around with a broken one of these trying to find one that works... Feels like money well spent.

I did a speed test on my Apple Air Macbook 13" with wi-fi connection at my house. Download and upload of only around 22 mps. Just tested out this USB to Ethernet connector with my router and it is almost FIVE TIMES FASTER.I am getting around 95mps. I did not have to download any drivers or doing anything at all. I just turned off my wi-fi on my computer and then plugged the Ethernet cable into the Apple adaptor and then plugged that into the USB port on my laptop. I was immediately able to surf the internet. Very pleased with this item. Works flawlessly. (For reference, my laptop was made in 2014 and has macOS Mojave Version 10.14.6 ). There are less expensive non-Apple ethernet connectors out there but in reading comments and reviews, it seems that you may not be able to get them to work with your Apple computer without having to load drivers, etc. And some are not compatible with some of the MAC operating systems. So that is why I decided to stick with Apple Ethernet connector and am very pleased.

Great product. Just plugged it in and was on internet immediately. Stable internet connections, fast speed. No downside. It pays to spend the extra money and get an Apple product, as I tried a few other devices of off brands and they either didn't work or worked poorly.

This plugs into my smart TV that doesn’t have an Ethernet port. Plugs into USB and allows internet connection without WiFi.I am happy with this. I bought an off branded one before this that didn’t work right out of the box. Decided to spend the extra money. This has worked flawlessly for 2 months nowI will update if anything changes
